The Fatted Calf in Berkeley, CA is an artisanal charcuterie maker. They make hand-crafted charcuterie using high quality ingredients that are organic and hormone free.
They offer a regular changing repetoire of charcuterie (the list is updated weekly on their website) at the Berkeley and Ferry Terminal Farmer's Markets. We've tried a couple of their pates, sausages, duck confits and even their bacon! (I adored their bacon!)
You can place a special order with them and pick it up at the market (very advisable if there's something in particular that you want) - or in some cases you can arrange for a delivery of a very large order. Their excellent charcuterie is worth seeking out if you live or visit the Bay area. A small selection is available at Dean & DeLuca in St. Helena.
Our favorites are the Duck Confit, Mortadella, Bacon & Duck Liver Mousse.
