The IL Chocolatier. I read about them in Saveur magazine a few years ago. They are famous for their “filled” Chocolate Easter Eggs.
I ordered on March 1, 2006 - well in advance for Easter and the eggs arrived in perfect time, nestled in boxes and wrapped in bubble wrap.
The dark chocolate "adult’s egg" ($26.95) contained about 25 homemade chocolates nestled in the paper wrappers. The child’s egg ($7.95) contained jelly beans and gummy bears and marshmallow chicks candy.
The idea is great - a hollow egg with a sweet surprise. Trent loved opening them! Presentation is A+!
The chocolate is okay, quality-wise. Not top-tier but edible. The chocolates inside the adult egg were good. I would order again but because Trent had little interest in the children’s candy, I might just order the adult egg and let him open it. He loved unwrapping all the little chocolates.
