The purpose of these tastings is to share our tasting notes and ratings, but also to show you what wines are poured at the wildly varied tasting events we get to.
Some tastings have a numerical score on the Robert Parker 50-100 scale. For more recent tastings, I am using a scale 0-(whatever#) Bottles I Would Purchase. For those with less than a 3 bottle score, I will not go out of my way to seek out.
My personal preferences are for wines that show acidity, minerals, character, personality and that go well with food. Although I can appreciate the high alcohol hedonistic fruit bombs, I find most to be impossible to drink with dinner - and how many wines do I need that I can't have food with? - Jack
