Rosé Wines

We had been wanting to do both a finishing salt tasting and a Rosé tasting. Suddenly we had an upcoming weekend with nothing going on and so created an insta-tasting party.

Some quick wine notes: My favorite two were the 1995 Lopez de Heredia (the current release(!) - I love older wines but not everyone liked it as much as I did) and the 2004 Heitz Cellars Grignolino. Other standouts included the Pax, the Sine Qua Non, Domaine Tempier, the Mas Neuf (the bargain of the lot) and the Palama. The 1997 Caymus was also quiet interesting and enjoyable - perhaps it was the oak? The two wines which showed the worst, were the Villa Wolf and the Miner. — Jack
