NV Gaston Chicquet Blanc de Blancs d’Aÿ (’99) $38
Could be great with food. Long, long finish. Very true chardonnay champagne. In magnums it is vintage dated.
NV Jean Lallement Brut Grand Cru Verzenay $43
Really interesting. Really long finish. 80% Pinot Noir 20% Chardonnay. Lallement makes one other cuvee, the reserve “purple label” 1700 cases (one of them now is ours). Joanne liked it a lot.
